Information we collect

We collect account information you provide, such as your name and email address. To provide the service, Haykal also stores the communities, activities, reminders, and records you create in the product.

Haykal is not designed for medical records, legal records, emergency services, or other regulated recordkeeping. Please avoid entering information that you do not want stored in the product.

Product analytics

We use product analytics to understand how Haykal is used and to improve the product. Current analytics are server-side product events that record that an action happened, such as creating, completing, updating, or sharing an activity, or changing reminder settings. Product analytics do not include the content, notes, descriptions, or other details you enter inside those records.

Analytics events may include user, community, membership, database, and entity identifiers; community role; reminder timing and delivery status; sharing target kind; and deployment environment.

We use PostHog as a service provider for product analytics. You can turn off product analytics in your account settings after creating an account.

How we use information

We use information to provide Haykal, authenticate users, maintain communities and activity records, send requested reminders, improve product quality, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, and respond to support or privacy requests.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate Haykal, such as authentication, database infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, monitoring, and analytics providers. These providers process information for us so we can run the service.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and content information while your account is active. If you delete your account or submit a verified deletion request, we will delete or anonymize personal information subject to legal, security, backup, and operational requirements.

Your choices

You can update your profile and product analytics preference in account settings. You may also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or other assistance with your personal information.

Children

Haykal is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create an account or submit personal information.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as Haykal changes. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
